But alas, when child number two arrived we decided not to persue this fun sport.

Today was the first introduction to competition rules and scoring.

We were scoring with Imperial measurements which means:

Gold - 9 points
Red - 7 points
Blue - 5 points
Black - 3 points
White - 1 point

Metric is 1 - 10 from outer to inner ring as each colour is divided into two rings. I lost count. Basically I was getting 75% in gold and 25% in red. One shot in gold was 2 mm from the central cross. Not bad considering we are even further away from the target today. I used a Quicks recurve training bow (TD-01 or 02 I think) and had a really fun time.  On my first round of 3 shots I missed the target altogether, the next round I got one two the target (just).
